Maria Migoya Fernandez (Spain), is a lawyer from Spain, and has a degree in law and an LLM on International and European Law from the University of Brussels.
As mediation and conflict resolution officer, Maria coordinates and manages day-to-day office operations and plays a role in supporting mediation and conflict-resolution activities.
Prior to joining the Office of the Ombudsman, she worked for the Division of Human Resources, UNICEF where apart from assisting the Director, she was a policy and administrative specialist on stretch assignment for the Policy and Administrative Law section. She has experience as a consultant for the UN Secretariat, Department of Management; and worked as well for the International Federation of Human Rights before joining the UN system.
