Lucille Boettger

Conflict Coaching Consultant

Lucille initially joined the Ombudsman team as a consultant supporting the Respectful Workplace Facilitator (RWF) training rollout, and now offers conflict coaching services in addition to continuing to support the RWF initiative.

Lucille began her work as a mediator, facilitator and conflict coach in 2000 with the Canadian military and Department of National Defence.  She conducted hundreds of mediations and coaching sessions and thousands of training sessions over the years to both military and civilian personnel internationally and within Canada.  As the Senior Practitioner and Director of ADR services for these organizations, she established policies, standards, training, development and mentoring programs for internal conflict management practitioners and assisted other Canadian government departments in the establishment of their own informal conflict management systems.  In 2009, Lucille branched out to develop expertise in supporting mental health and resiliency in the workforce, and in 2012 pursued a career outside of the military in the areas of wellness, respectful workplaces and informal conflict management.  She retired from the Canadian public service in 2020 as the Director of Organizational Health Programs at the Department of Justice.

Lucille is a native speaker of both English and French, and brings a passion for learning, human connection, peace and respect to all aspects of her life. In addition to a graduate certificate in Conflict Resolution from Carleton University and many other certifications, Lucille is a CINERGY® conflict management coach, mentor and trainer, a Master Integral® coach, and a graduate of the Senior Course at NATO Defence College.
