Romain Konde is a conflict resolution specialist based in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. He is an experienced mediator, trained in workplace, business, divorce and family mediation with more than fifteen years of working history in the alternative dispute resolution industry across the USA and Congo, the Democratic Republic.
Since 2014, he serves as a Senior Adviser to the President of the Commission for Integrity and Electoral Mediation (CIME), an entity bringing together all churches and religious denominations that work in close collaboration with the National Independent Electoral Commission (CENI), a democracy support institution responsible for organizing elections in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
He has mediated and co-mediated various disputes that include individuals, families, tribes, churches, businesses, workplace, survivors-offenders, small and large community groups, and non-governmental organizations. He is an adept of the cross-cultural conflict transformation approach and author of the approved manual for Elementary and High School Students on Peer Mediation in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
Romain Konde holds a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Peace Studies and Conflict Resolution from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. He is fluent in French and English.
