Erin E. Gleason Alvarez is a distinguished mediator and arbitrator known for her expertise in complex commercial, insurance, entertainment, and employment disputes. She serves on premier panels, including the CPR Institute’s Panel of Distinguished Neutrals, the AAA Mediation and Arbitration Panels, and Resolute Systems’ National Panel. Since 2020, Who’s Who Legal has recognized her as a top global mediator in commercial mediation. She is a member of the National Academy of Distinguished Neutrals. In addition to her practice, Erin serves as adjunct faculty for the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University and at St. John’s Law School.
With 20 years of mediation experience – as an advocate, in-house counsel, a neutral, and a law professor – Erin’s insights are frequently sought by major media, including U.S. News & World Report, Newsweek, Goop, the ABA Journal, and various podcasts. Her most recent article, “The Gender Sidelining Trap in Mediator Selection,” was published by the University of Missouri School of Law Journal of Dispute Resolution.
Erin began her career as a litigator and went on to lead the Global ADR Program for a large multinational organization. She holds an LL.M. from the Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution at Pepperdine University and has been a full-time neutral in U.S. domestic and international disputes since 2017.
