Dimitra K. Triantafyllou (Greece)

Dimitra K. Triantafyllou, a JAMS Foundation Weinstein International Fellow 2011, is among mediation pioneers in Greece and an international ADR neutral and a founding member of DELTAtotheEPSILON, an innovative provider of mediation and ADR services in Greece and Cyprus. Dimitra first qualified as a Greek lawyer in 1996 with the bar of Thessaloniki, Greece and is also registered with the bar of Limassol, Cyprus as an EU lawyer and is practicing law in the field of corporate, business and commercial law specialized in South Eastern European region.

Dimitra is a civil & commercial mediator and family mediator, an advanced mediation trainer and a trainer of mediation trainers, an international commercial arbitrator, a dispute resolution systems designer, a deal facilitator and a practicing lawyer in Greece and Cyprus in the field of corporate, business and commercial law. She has been accredited with ADRgroup (UK) and Toolkit Company (NL) and is also IMI certified. Her further ADR trainings have taken place in various institutions in Europe (SSR-NL, ISBM-AT, Centre for Mediation and Law-RU) and the USA (JAMS, Harvard Law School trainings, UC Hastings College of the Law, Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution at Pepperdine University School of Law, CIArb N. America branch, Compliance Advisor Ombudsman (CAO) of the World Bank Group)

Dimitra has served as a regular member (December 2011-December 2015) at the first National Mediators Accreditation Committee of the Hellenic Ministry of Justice, Transparency and Human Rights, an independent national regulatory body that accredits mediators, monitors, and regulates mediators’ and mediation providers’ services as well as authorizes and approves mediation training providers and mediation training programs in Greece. She has been also a liaison member between the International Committee and the Membership Committee of the Dispute Resolution Section of American Bar Association, is a member of the International Mediation Institute’s (IMI’s) Appraisal Committee, and has been a member of the IMI’s Task Force for Advocacy Mediation. She is a regular author of ADR articles and has worked as a researcher within the framework of projects funded by the European Commission. She also frequently participates in international conferences, trainings, and projects (in Europe, the USA and Asia) as a Greek MoJ delegate, speaker, lecturer, trainer and international ADR expert.

Since 2013 she has trained mediation trainers and mediators (more than 550 mediators and 35 mediators’ trainers) in Greece with various organizations where she contributed to its establishment of the first official training entity in Greece.

Dimitra is a native Greek speaker and is fluent in English.
