Geoff Sharp is a commercial mediator specializing in cross border disputes around the world, particularly Asia Pacific and UK. He is a founding member of Singapore’s newest mediation chambers, Maxwell Mediators and is door tenant at Brick Court Chambers, London.
Geoff is a New Zealander and lives in Wellington and London as well as spending significant time in Singapore. Before becoming a full-time mediator 20 years ago, Geoff was a partner in one of New Zealand’s largest commercial law firms and he is admitted to all NZ Courts, the Supreme Court of Victoria, the High Court of Australia and the Australian Federal Court).
He is ranked in Chambers UK Bar 2020 and is described by Who’s Who Legal as a “mediation megastar”. Geoff has mediated high-profile matters in multiple jurisdictions including insurance, financial sector class actions, country to country commercial disputes, Asian and Middle Eastern oil & gas, energy infrastructure and construction disputes. He is also one of Bali International Arbitration and Mediation Centre’s top 10 mediators in the Asia-Pacific for 2020 and he is APAC Insider’s ‘Best Commercial Mediator in the Asia-Pacific’.
