Renate Dendorfer-Ditges (Germany)

Renate Dendorfer-Ditges Dr. jur., LL.M. (Illinois), MBA (Maastricht) is based in Bonn and Munich (Germany). She is a lawyer and a partner of DITGES Partnerschaft mbB in Bonn and a certified mediator in Germany. She has more than 20 years of experience in advising and representing national and international clients in labor law as well as commercial matters. She also has corresponding experience as a mediator, supporting parties to resolve work-related and commercial disputes. She developed and implemented a conflict management system for a large German hotel company during her former work as in-house counsel and head of the legal department. She has successfully mediated a large number of cases nationally and internationally and was appointed as a mediator by International Chamber of Commerce and the European Institute for Conflict Management.  Renate has been selected as an ADR and mediation expert by Who’s Who Legal since 2012 continuously. Additionally, she is ranked in “Best Lawyers” for international arbitration since 2014.

She also serves as a professor at the Baden-Wuerttemberg Cooperative State University (Ravensburg, Germany) and as an honorary professor at the EBS University of Economics and Law (Wiesbaden, Germany) in the area of dispute resolution.  She teaches mediation in Germany, Hungary, the Netherlands, Ukraine, and the United States.  She is the author of numerous publications on work-related and commercial mediation as well as co-editor of the German periodical KonfliktDynamik.

Renate studied law and business administrations in Bielefeld (Germany), Illinois (USA) and Maastricht (NL). She was trained in mediation both in Germany (FernUniversität Hagen) and in the United States (Harvard Law School and Pepperdine University).  Renate is admitted to the bar in Germany as well as to the bar of the U.S. State of New York and to the U.S. Federal Courts.

Renate speaks German as her mother tongue and is fluent in English.
