Dindio Konate (Cote d’Ivoire)

Dindio Konate is a mediator based in Abidjan-Cote d’Ivoire. She has more than 10 years of experience in conflict management, peace building, human rights, and international law. She is currently a mediator with the Compliance Advisor Ombudsman of the World Bank Group. She is also trainer and mentor on delivering five-day Conflict Management Pre- deployment Training for Peacekeepers in more than 10 countries with the United States Institute Peace (USIP).

During her career she has worked with several organizations and institutions including the Ivorian Truth and Reconciliation Commission (CDVR), the Ivorian commission for reconciliation and compensation for victims, and has served as Country Representative for Search For Common Ground (SFCG) in Cote d’Ivoire. She has been consultant for several international organization including UNOCI, UNDP, UN Women, Equitas-Canada ICRC, CCPR-Geneva, and Friedrich Ebert Stiftung.

Dindio is a Human Right Defender and a member of Ivorian civil society since 2005. She is passionate about working to change people attitudes and behaviors when dealing with conflict for a more peaceful society.

Dindio Konate holds a master’s degree in law and a master’s degree in conflict Management and Peacebuilding with a focus of post conflict countries. She speaks French (native) and is fluent in English.
