Como parte de los esfuerzos para mejorar la cultura organizacional y las formas de responder a las quejas, la Oficina del Ombudsman para los Fondos y Programas de las Naciones Unidas est\u00e1 aumentando la capacidad de los servicios de mediaci\u00f3n a trav\u00e9s de su Unidad de Mediaci\u00f3n. Esta capacidad fortalecida permitir\u00e1 al personal de las cinco organizaciones de la ONU (PNUD, UNFPA, UNICEF, UNOPS y ONU Mujeres) plantear inquietudes y problemas de manera informal a un organismo independiente y confidencial, y que estos problemas se aborden de una manera m\u00e1s r\u00e1pida y menos intrusiva.<\/p>\n

La Unidad de Mediaci\u00f3n se compone de un equipo dedicado de profesionales en la mediaci\u00f3n que gestionan las actividades y los casos de mediaci\u00f3n para el PNUD, UNFPA, UNICEF, UNOPS y ONU Mujeres.<\/p>\n

Como parte de esta capacidad mejorada, la Oficina del Ombudsman ha desarrollado un Panel Global de Mediaci\u00f3n que consiste en mediadores externos aprobados por la Oficina del Ombudsman que mediar\u00e1n en disputas laborales que involucren a las cinco organizaciones de la ONU a medida que ocurran.<\/p>\n

Programs and Updates<\/h1>\n

[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]The Mediation Unit has launched a series of 1.5-hour training events titled \u201cA Conversation with the Mediator<\/strong>\u201d, aimed at bringing mediation closer to the field despite the pandemic.<\/p>\n

Not only does \u201cA Conversation with the Mediator<\/strong>\u201d include a mediation training session for all personnel (regardless of contract modality) in selected country offices of the five agencies the Office of the Ombudsman serves but it will also allow participants to book a time slot with a mediator to explore the suitability of mediation for concerns they may have. Where possible, the program will provide a unique opportunity to staff to meet the members of the Global Mediation Panel<\/a>\u00a0 based in their countries. No registration is needed for the participation in the training part of the program. However, if you\u2019d like to speak to one of our mediators after the training session, please register here<\/a> to book one of the four limited slots available for an intake confidential conversation with Mushegh Manukyan<\/a> and Maria Migoya Fernadndez<\/a>, or when available, with the members of the Global Mediation Panel.<\/p>\n
