Se incorpor\u00f3 a ACNUR hace m\u00e1s de 20 a\u00f1os, donde asumi\u00f3 diversas funciones tanto en la sede como en terreno.<\/p>\n<p>Luego de su asignaci\u00f3n en terreno como Oficial Adjunto de Protecci\u00f3n en la Oficina regional de ACNUR en Dakar, Senegal, asumi\u00f3 las funciones de Oficial jur\u00eddico, Jefe de Unidad y Coordinador Regional de Capacitaci\u00f3n en la sede de ACNUR en Ginebra. Posteriormente, se desempe\u00f1\u00f3 como Representante de ACNUR en Bishkek, Kirguist\u00e1n, antes de regresar a Ginebra para unirse al Servicio de Recaudaci\u00f3n de Fondos de ACNUR. Estuvo a cargo de la Secci\u00f3n de Asuntos Jur\u00eddicos de ACNUR desde 2003 hasta su nombramiento como Ombudsman.<\/p>\n<p>El se\u00f1or Buss aporta al cargo sus vastos conocimientos en gesti\u00f3n y soluci\u00f3n informal de conflictos, tanto en sus funciones de Asesor Jur\u00eddico como con su experiencia en mediaci\u00f3n. Posee una Maestr\u00eda en Mediaci\u00f3n del Institut Universitaire Kurt Boesch (IUKB) en Sion, Suiza, e investig\u00f3 profundamente sobre el control de los costos del conflicto. &#8220;Medir y reducir el costo de los conflictos en el trabajo en ACNUR&#8221; es el t\u00edtulo de su tesis. Es miembro de la Asociaci\u00f3n Internacional de Ombudsman (IOA), donde ha participado en varias actividades de capacitaci\u00f3n. Se certific\u00f3 como ombudsman en la IOA y como mediador en el Centre for Effective Dispute Resolution (CEDR).<\/p>\n<p>El se\u00f1or Buss es Licenciado en Derecho de la Universidad de Hamburgo y posee un MBA de la Open University Business School de Reino Unido.
